Union Plumbing Co. is a residential plumbing company in Matthews, working the south and east side of Charlotte. Ray Delgado runs the shop.
Most of the work is on the houses around here: 1970s ranches with galvanized supply lines, 1990s subdivisions with polybutylene, and newer builds with PEX and tankless water heaters. Leaks, drains, water heaters, repipes and gas lines, for homeowners and the occasional landlord.

Questions people ask before they call
Can I call at night or on a weekend?
Yes. The phone is answered around the clock, every day. If what you describe can safely wait until morning, the person on the phone will say so, and tell you what to shut off in the meantime.
How do you price a job?
The plumber looks at the problem first, then tells you what the fix is and what it costs before starting. You decide whether to go ahead. If something else turns up once a wall or floor is open, you hear about it before any more work is done. The how pricing works page covers what moves the price.
How fast can you get here?
It depends on where the trucks are and what's already on the board. Whoever answers gives you an arrival window on the phone. Matthews, Mint Hill and Indian Trail are the closest towns to the shop.
What should I do while I wait?
If water is running, shut off the main valve: it's usually at the meter box near the street, or where the line enters the house, and turns clockwise. For a backed-up drain, stop running water anywhere in the house. If you smell gas, leave the house and call the gas company from outside before calling us. The emergency guide has the full list.
