What we actually do
Measured, ordered and installed by the same two-person crew, with the interior and exterior trim finished and caulked rather than left for a painter you have to hire separately.

Full-frame or insert
It is the only decision that really changes the outcome, and it should be made at your house rather than on a phone call. Insert keeps the existing frame and costs less. Full-frame removes everything down to the rough opening, which is the only way to fix rotted sills, failed flashing and the draft that comes from around the window rather than through it.
