It depends on three things, in this order: how far you're going (Refresh, Replace or Reimagine), the cabinets, and whether plumbing moves. Finish level swings the total by about a third either way. Answer the three questions above and we'll send you the range for your project, then confirm it at a free in-home consult. The fixed number is written after the design phase and is good for 60 days.
It means the price on your contract is the price on your final invoice. We do the design and every selection first, then we write the number. After that it only changes if you change the scope, and you sign a one-page change order before we do the work. No allowance games, no surprise line items at the end.
A full replace is six to nine weeks of construction. We set up a temporary kitchen with your fridge, microwave and a utility sink before demo starts, and the dust wall keeps the rest of the house livable. Most families cook on the grill and eat out a little more. Nobody has moved out for a kitchen yet.
Yes, on every project that needs one, which in Mecklenburg County is anything that touches plumbing, electrical or structure. We pull them, we schedule the inspections, and the inspection cards are in the folder you get at the end. A remodeler who suggests skipping the permit is asking you to carry their risk.
The completion date is in the contract, and if we miss it for a reason that's ours, we pay you a daily credit for every day past it. Weather, a back-ordered range you chose late, or a change order you signed pushes the date and we'll show you the math. A crew that has never had to pay the a daily credit does a lot of planning to keep it that way.
A name and a phone number is all we need. A photo of the room gets you a tighter range before anyone drives out.
