The deep clean between haircuts — double wash, conditioner, hand blow-out and a brush that actually reaches the skin. Your couch will notice.
There's a reason a Rally bath outlasts a backyard hose-down by weeks. We wash twice — the first pass breaks down oil, pollen, and whatever your dog found at the dog park; the second works a coat-matched shampoo down to the skin where the actual dirt lives. A conditioner suited to the coat type (silky, curly, wire, or double) goes on next, because clean fur without moisture just turns to static and tangles.
Then the part most owners can't do at home: a complete hand blow-out. Our high-velocity dryer lifts water and loose undercoat out of the coat while we work, section by section, until the brush glides to the skin everywhere. That's the difference between a dog that looks clean and a dog whose coat is actually healthy underneath.

Most coated breeds do best with a haircut every 6–8 weeks and a bath and brush-out in the middle. That middle visit is what keeps mats from ever starting — once a doodle or a shih tzu coat tangles at the skin, the only fix left is scissors. A standing mid-cycle bath is the cheapest insurance a long coat can buy.
Short-coated dogs aren't left out. Labs, pitties, beagles and boxers don't need haircuts, but they shed year-round and their skin collects Charlotte's pollen like velcro. A bath, conditioner and blow-out drops the shed dramatically — add the full de-shedding treatment in spring and fall when the undercoat lets go all at once.
Anxious bathers get the same one-on-one patience as everything else we do: warm water introduced slowly, a non-slip mat, lick mats for moral support, and a groomer who has nowhere else to be. If your dog has a bath-time history, tell us when you book — we plan around it.
