Weekly or biweekly mowing keeps the cut height right for your grass type (taller fescue in summer shade, tighter bermuda in full sun), edges crisp and clippings managed. Around the calendar we layer in the treatments that matter: pre-emergent before crabgrass wakes up in late February, balanced fertilization timed for root growth instead of forced top growth, fall core aeration and overseeding for fescue — the single biggest needle-mover in this region — and pH correction since Piedmont soil runs acidic.
