Rally Grooming Co. started with one bad pickup: a great dog handed back trembling after seven hours "at the spa." We decided grooming could be done a kinder way — and built a studio around it.
Walk into most grooming salons at 8am and you'll see the problem: a wall of crates, a stack of dryers roaring, and a dozen dogs marinating in each other's stress until their number comes up. The dogs aren't difficult — the system is.
So we run the opposite system. One appointment at a time. Your dog walks in, gets groomed straight through by one person, and walks out — usually inside two hours. No crates between stations, no cage dryers (we never bought one), no soundtrack of other dogs panicking. The studio smells like oatmeal shampoo, not fear.
Coat assessed, number confirmed, work begins — in that order. The only exception is severe matting time, which we clear with you by phone before proceeding.
If a coat is matted past saving, you hear it from us first with options explained — never discover it at the pickup window.
Appointments run one at a time, straight through. Early drop-offs hang out in the lounge with us, not in a kennel bank.
If your dog doesn't need the add-on, we'll say so. A grooming studio you trust is worth more to us than a $12 facial you didn't need.
We're at 2200 South Blvd, Suite C — an easy drop-off off the light rail line, with parking at the door and half of Charlotte's best coffee within a ten-minute walk. The space was designed dog-first: non-slip floors throughout, a walk-in tub for big seniors who can't jump, sound-dampened drying room, and a pickup lounge where the reunion wiggles have room to happen.
Our groomers are fear-free certified, insured, and continuing-education junkies — breed standards, skin and coat science, and handling techniques for seniors, puppies and anxious dogs. Between us we've groomed everything from a 4-lb yorkie to a 140-lb Newfoundland, and we still take a beat to appreciate a really good before-and-after.
Hours are Tuesday to Saturday, 8am–6pm, by appointment. Booking takes about a minute, and every request gets a confirmation text within 2 hours — that's not a marketing line, it's a timer on the wall.
